Kerala Interventional Neurology Conference (KINCON)

The Kerala Interventional Neurology Conference (KINCON) was initiated in 2007 in Perinthalmanna, Kerala, with the objective of providing a dedicated academic platform for neurologists, neurosurgeons, and neurointerventionists to interact and exchange knowledge in the field of neurointervention.

The conference focuses on the science and practice of neurointervention, with an emphasis on its application in the management of complex stroke and cerebrovascular diseases. KINCON particularly benefits residents, fellows, and young trainees, offering exposure to evolving techniques and clinical perspectives.

KINCON features didactic lectures delivered by experienced faculty in vascular neurology, neurosurgery, and neurointervention, along with free paper presentations. The conference is traditionally preceded by a hands-on neurointervention workshop, which provides orientation and training in basic and advanced techniques, including material usage and simulation-based learning using flow models.

The 13th KINCON was held on 24–25 August 2024 at Hyatt Regency, Thrissur, Kerala. The 14th edition of KINCON is scheduled to be held in Calicut in September 2025.
